Client Responsibility

Where can I find Infomaniak's legal documents?
What are my responsibilities as a client?
As a client, you are responsible for the content hosted on our server, compliance with applicable laws, regular backups of your data and securing your access credentials.
Who is responsible for the content on your website?
The client is solely responsible for all content published on their website, including text, images, videos and external links. This includes compliance with copyright laws and data protection regulations.
What happens if the customer violates the terms of use?
Violating the terms of use may result in the suspension or termination of your account. Infomaniak reserves the right to take immediate action if illegal content is detected, or if an account represents a security risk to other users.
Am I responsible of backing up my data?
Yes. Although Infomaniak maintains server backups for system recovery purposes, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of all website data, databases and email content.
What should I do if my account is compromised?
Change all your passwords immediately, contact your administrator or Infomaniak support. Review recent account activity and enable two-factor authentication if it has not already been configured. Check for any unauthorised changes to your website or email settings.
Can I transfer my services to another provider?
Yes. You own your data and domain name and you can transfer your services at any time. Infomaniak provides tools and documentation to facilitate migration. To ensure service continuity, please keep your account active until the transfer is complete.

WDRP Policy

What is the right of withdrawal (WDRP)?
Under Swiss law, customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. This applies to hosting services and domain registrations provided on condition that the service has not yet been activated or the domain has not been used.
How do I exercise my right of withdrawal?
Contact Infomaniak support within 14 days of purchase by email or support ticket. Provide your order number and clearly state your intention to withdraw. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal notice.

General Questions

What services does DIGITALABS offer?
We offer comprehensive web development services including custom website development, web applications, Swiss-based hosting, cybersecurity consulting, GDPR/nFADP compliance and SEO optimisation. Each project is built from scratch using clean, maintainable code, unless the use of a page builder such as the WordPress CMS is specifically requested. For more information, please visit our Infomaniak partners page.
Do you create websites with the WordPress CMS?
Yes we develop websites with WordPress CMS upon request. Our preferred approach is custom development using the latest generation of PHP, JavaScript and CSS. This translates into faster, more secure and easier to maintain websites without the overhead of plugins or heavy page editors.
What differentiates your approach?
We write clean code from scratch, host exclusively in Switzerland with ISO-certified data centres, and integrate GDPR/nLPD compliance into every project from day one. No heavy frameworks, no third-party tracking, and no obligation to adapt your business to generic models. Every solution is tailored to your specific business needs.

Rates and Deadlines

How much does it cost to develop a website?
Project costs vary depending on complexity, features and requirements. A static showcase site starts around CHF 460, corporate sites begin at CHF 1,500, and custom web applications start at CHF 3,500. Use our quote calculator for a rough estimate, or contact us to discuss your project.
How long does it take to build a website?
The timeline depends on the complexity of the project. A simple showcase website takes 1–2 weeks, corporate websites generally take 3–5 weeks, and complex web applications can take 5–7 weeks or more. We provide realistic timelines during the planning phase and keep you informed with regular updates throughout development.
What's included in the remuneration?
All quotes include development, testing, deployment and initial training if required. Hosting, domain registration, ongoing maintenance and SSL certificates are generally separate annual costs. Once we have defined the details of the specifications, we will provide you with a transparent quote for your project, so you will know exactly how much you will need to invest, with no hidden costs.

Hosting in Switzerland

Where are all my web and email services located?
All hosting services are based in Geneva, Switzerland, at the Infomaniak Network SA data centre. The facility is certified according to ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards, with 24/7 monitoring, powered 100% by renewable energy and with full data sovereignty under Swiss jurisdiction. Your data remains in Switzerland.
Is GDPR/nFADP compliance included?
Yes. Full compliance with the GDPR and Swiss Data Protection Act is integrated into every project from the outset and is not added afterwards. This includes proper data handling, privacy policies, cookie consent if needed, and technical implementations that meet both EU and Swiss legal requirements.
Can I transfer my services elsewhere later?
Yes. Your domain name and website are your property. While we recommend Swiss hosting for security and compliance, you are free to host wherever you choose. No vendor lock-in.
What about website security?
Security is essential, not optional. Every project includes: SSL certificates, secure coding practices, protection against common vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF), regular security patches, and server-level hardening. For customers who require advanced protection, we offer consulting in cybersecurity and implementation of SSI best practices.

Process & Support

How does the development process work?
For more sophisticated websites, we follow a structured, multi-step approach:
(1) Needs Analysis - understanding your requirements
(2) Architecture & Planning - technology selection and timeline
(3) Iterative Development - progressive builds with regular checkpoints
(4) Testing & Optimisation - comprehensive validation
(5) Deployment & Support - launch and ongoing maintenance.
You are involved at every stage.
Can you update content after launch?
Yes. For sites with CMS functionality, you can update the content yourself via an administration interface. For maintenance, support, and complete management of your websites, we offer hosting packages starting at CHF 160/year for security updates, or CHF 180/year for full hosting with backups and SSL management. One-time updates can be quoted separately.
What happens in the event of hacking or interference?
For customers with complete maintenance packages, we provide monitoring and rapid response to critical issues. Disruptions are rare, but when they occur, we solve them quickly.
Do you provide training?
Yes. If your project includes a content management system or back-office interface, we provide comprehensive training as part of the deployment phase. The training is tailored to your team's technical level and covers all the features you need to manage your services independently.
