OpenStack — The Most Widely Deployed Open Source Cloud Software in the World

Open and Secure Cloud Infrastructure

Infomaniak’s IaaS cloud runs on OpenStack, the world’s most widely deployed open source cloud platform.

This robust technology ensures full administrative control, data sovereignty and independence from vendor constraints. All data is stored exclusively in Switzerland, under strict legal protection: complete confidentiality, compliance with the GDPR and Swiss data protection laws.

An Independent Model

Infomaniak Network SA fully controls its infrastructure, systems and software stack. This independent model ensures top-tier security, regulatory compliance and rapid innovation, aligned with evolving market needs.

Security and Confidentiality

At DIGITALABS and Infomaniak, security and confidentiality are top priorities. We ensure full compliance with Swiss law, the GDPR and the nFADP, through robust encryption, strict access control and continuous monitoring. For organisations operating under FINMA regulation, Infomaniak’s infrastructure meets the data localisation, traceability and auditability requirements set out in FINMA Circular 2018/3.

Important Notice: Domain Owner

When registering a domain name, the end client is the official owner, particularly for country-code top-level domains (ccTLD) such as ".ch", ".it", ".co.uk" or ".fr". The domain holder keeps all rights to manage, transfer, modify, cancel or renew the domain, with explicit authorisation.

Under ICANN regulations, domain ownership information is recorded in the WHOIS database. While the GDPR and nFADP limit public access to personal data, basic technical and administrative details remain visible depending on the registrar.

To strengthen your privacy further, Infomaniak offers an optional service, "Domain Privacy", which replaces your public WHOIS contact data with neutral, anonymised information.
